                                 CURRENT POSITION AVAILABLE:    Maintenance Assistant  

The Athens Housing Authority is accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Assistant.  Position primarily performs varied duties in unit preparation for re-rental and ongoing physical care of property and apartments.  Duties include painting, mechanical assistance, custodial and grounds care.  Experience preferred. Uniforms provided. Successful candidate must be skilled in use of all equipment used in apartment cleaning; possess painting skills of journeyman level; hold a valid Georgia Driver’s license; must pass background checks, physical and drug screening and be bondable and insurable by the Authority’s insurance carrier.  Beginning wage is $13.89/hr.  Full benefit package offered.  Application packets may be obtained in person from the Authority Reception Desk, 300 S. Rocksprings Street, Athens, Georgia from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday or may be downloaded below:.  No phone inquiries accepted.  Position open until filled.
