Inter-Community Council Hosts Community Discussions
The Inter-Community Council, the Resident Organization of the Athens Housing Authority, will host upcoming Community Discussion events at the Athens-Clarke County Library.  The first Community Discussion group will be held on Mon., Sept., 26, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. and will feature Clarke County School District Superintendent Dr. Phillip D. Lanoue and other CCSD staff members.   Topics of discussion will include: digital learning, Charter District information, curriculum, facility upgrades and SPLOST, community partnerships, attendance and healthy children.  Time will be allotted for questions with the speakers.

All members of the Athens-Clarke County community are invited to attend the Community Discussions.

“This is important information for the whole community to engage in,“ says Lora Thompson, AHA Resident Services Assistant.  “The Inter-Community Council is sponsoring these Community Discussions for residents throughout Athens-Clarke County to participate in and to learn from one another about concerns and issues.”

The second Community Discussion will be held on Mon., October 3, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. and will feature Athens-Clarke County Police Chief R. Scott Freeman.  This Community Discussion will also be held at the library and will feature members of the ACC Police Department staff.
